Please can you help me complete my research questionnaire as part of my research independent study on the BEd (hons) Primary Education. I am looking for practitioners views into outdoor learning in the early years foundation stage and key stage 1. I would appricate if anyone working with children in the 3 to 7 years age groups (nursery to year 2) to give their vauled opinons. If you work in any other age group you are welcome to fill one in to, I would value your input as well. The research is due in early next month. Please can you reply via PM by Tuesday 18th October 2011, to allow me to complete everything. Thank you for your help Beth practitioner_q…

Hi I'm in the process of carrying out a literature review based on "The influence of nature on children's holistic development" - (nature as in the outdoors rather than nature/nurture debate), and I'm finding it difficult to find anything to contrast with the benefits apart from heresay about parents/practitioners feelings about germs and mess. If anyone can point me in the right direction for hard evidence, or has any suggestions - they would be very gratefully received. Thanks,

I'm not sure that I did a personal statement for either the Foundation Degree or the top up year, but now that I'm applying to do a Masters I need to write one to support my application. I've done a bit of a google but I wondered if anyone had any advice about what to include, and the kinds of things I need to cover? I'm not very good at singing my praises at the best of times, but some advice would be really useful at this point in time! Has anyone done one and would like to share any insights? It is a high profile course (the one led by Cathy Nutbrown at Sheffield) and so I want to make it as good as I possibly can to give myself the best chance! Thank you in…

Hi All I am currently writing my dissertation and suffering from confusion as my thinking is at odds with suggestions made by my mentor. I have done lots of literature reading but as part of the dissertation I have to carry out a small scale study that enables me to draw some conclusions and comparisons - this is what I am really struggling with. I am not happy with my mentors suggestions as they are purely done on questionaires with the children. I would like to do it in the form of activities..........of some sort......then I get really …

Any ideas what I shoiuld focus my goal on for my dissertation as I really want to work my modules around that, so my research will enable me with my final dissertation. I am thinking either; [*]Gender relating play to the outdoor environment [*]gender influence on play [*]outdoor play with the restrictions of health and safety As you can see I am not on the righ…
