Weather Assembly
by Guest- 3 replies

Hello This is the first time I have posted on this forum! I have just found out that in just over a week my Reception class have their class assembly coming up on the weather. I am really struggling to piece the assembly together into something manageable and exciting for the rest of the school to watch. I don't think the children in my class would manage to do a weather forecast so I have considered focusing upon one area of the weather. Next week we are making waterproof coats for our class bear so I could possibly link the assembly to the rain and waterproof clothes. Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks Vicki

Looking for inspiration for next terms plans. We have a theme of weather and we have 5 weeks to look at this topic. Not sure what we can do for our role play unless it's a clothes shop. Thought I might do a different type of weather each week but got stuck for a story for Sunny weather - any ideas anyone please? Sue

Evaporation
by Guest- 3 replies

Hi I need some help planning an activity to go on our investigation table. Basically I have been asked to set up an experiment which will introduce children to the water cycle. We seem to have it pretty much sorted, but we are struggling with the evaporation bit. Somebody suggested using a kettle to show the children what happens, but I'm (probably) being over cautious and I'm not keen to try this. Any other ideas would be great! Thanks!
