Guest Posted April 25, 2004 Posted April 25, 2004 Anyone have any ideas for this topic. At the moment I'm doing a foundation degree and this is what our group has chosen for our presentation . As I'm ks2 trained I'm short of ideas. As we will be painting a picture of our homes, (after talking about different houses) e.g. bungalows, street houses etc, I need to display photographs and posters. I can easily go around local area with camera, but any ideas for posters? Suppose I could always try estate agents. great site by the way.
Guest Posted April 25, 2004 Posted April 25, 2004 Hi Do try the estate agents. We were given a selection of photos of various houses that had been part of their window display.
AnonyMouse_64 Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 You could look at houses around the world too - igloos, teepee's, etc. Try this link for great pictures http://www.hgpho.to/wfest/house/house-e.html Don't forget animal homes too - snails, hermit crabs, bee hives, ant hills.
Guest Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 Could also include, doors (colours, shape, size, material etc.) Door numbers, odds and evens, The three Little pigs, (which is the stronger house) have a selection of straw, twigs and house bricks. Could look at bungalows, maissonettes, high rise flats, cammper vans, houseboats, caravans, Tents, terraced, semi detached, detached. Environment, roads, streets, avenues, close, crescents, gardens villages, towns, cities, suburbs. fairytale homes, Castles, mansions, Queens home (palace), hotels (holidays). Hope this helps Cherry

AnonyMouse_2732 Posted April 30, 2004 Posted April 30, 2004 Hi there Rainbow Girl! Welcome aboard! You'll love this site Funny, one of my favourite bands did a song by the name 'Rainbow Girl' - Dan Reed Network. ??? Sue
AnonyMouse_75 Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 Hi Rainbow girl I used to love making dens with blankets and stuff when I was little (sooooo long ago now.....!) Card board boxes where another favourite we have had "card bord box" days at our setting where we put lots of different sized boxes out rather than the home corner and a few basic natural props and leave the children to get on with their imagination some make homes others make boats the ideas come thick and fast. then in the construction area rather than lego we have several sets of nesting boxes (ikea sets of 12 ) and the children love making all kinds of towers and paterns
