Guest
Hi has any one heard whether ofted mind staff in private day nurseries using face clothes on the children. each child uses one face cloth each then they are all washed together on a 60 degree wash. each child does not have a named cloth so everyday a different child may potentially use a different cloth (obviously clean) is this okay with ofsted do you know? AnonyMouse_7317
We recently had a very god Ofsted at my setting and we do the same as you and Ofsted where quite happy with this as the children all have a clean flannel to use.

AnonyMouse_3139
I work a lot in council nurseries and thats how they do it. The most recent one has had a good ofsted and more recently the HSE were in over a bout of sickness going around. They were very thorough on a lot of things but face cloths werent mentioned at all, so I presume theres nothing wrong with it.
Guest
when I worked in a large day nursery we did exactly the same. Face cloths were used once and washed. New flannel for breakfast, lunch and tea.
