Guest
Does anyone know of a book that identifies each SEN eg, autism, dyspraxia, adhd with signs to look out for and advice as on what to do. The reason is that I can remember approx 4 years ago when I worked in a preschool, the then leader had a book with a blue cover which laid out each and every SEN with signs, "symptoms" and diagnosis. I have since left to move into primary school as a TA and have lost touch with her to get the title of this book. I know it's vague but does anyone know of a type of book like this? Thanx mulder "the truth is out there"
AnonyMouse_4544
There are a number of lists but personally I feel they are misleading at best as there is such an overlap between conditions such as autism and ADHD and both have elements of what could be dyspraxia the diagnosis should be left to experts. If a teacher or member of staff have concerns the SENCO should be first port of call and then a referral.
