Guest
I have a mixed Reception/Year One class, my head is coming to observe a numeracy focus in a week's time. Our theme for the week is Meg and Mog and I'd like to link it to the concept of finding one less. I've thought about having a broomstick with pictures of Meg/Mog and the children have to find 1 less. Has anybody got any ideas for independent/group activities? Thanks
AnonyMouse_79
One less is quite difficult for reception in particular. I usually play dice games for 1 more and 1 less, and use counters with ladybird templates/outlines. You could use a broomstick outline with meg and mog pictures? Dough activities are also quite good for this.
