Guest Posted October 13, 2007 Share Posted October 13, 2007 Ok hi at the moment im work on the bttm with my childen who are under 3 now with this EYFS how do you do the obseavtions do you do them to the six areas of learning and match them up like obseavtion 1 to or what how do we do our planning and obsvation etc? Helen Posted October 14, 2007 Share Posted October 14, 2007 Hi Hannah and welcome to the forum We have just changed the format for our observations on individual children and we are trying it out for this term. It's based on the Learning Journey stuff on the EYFS CD rom. Basically, we do one of these each day for five days (ie for five children). Then at our planning meeting we discuss what we are going to provide for these children (as well as all the other usual planning). Then the following week, we concentrate on those five children and the learning intentions we have planned for them. The next week, we choose five more children to observe, and so it goes on.
