Guest Wolfie
Hi and welcome to the forum! Don't panic, you'll get lots of ideas here, this topic has been discussed many times! Start by clicking on "Search Forum Posts" and type in "Festivals" or "Celebrations" and see what comes up. There are also some good ideas in a book by Penny Tassoni called "Planning for the Foundation Stage - Ideas for themes and activities", if you can get hold of a copy. There's some ideas for a theme of "Parties" in there which should fit in well.

AnonyMouse_3139
Hi Noel, when I did celebrations once we incoprporated weddings, and the children had loads of fun wearing my old wedding dress.
AnonyMouse_73
We also covered not just religious festivals, but other reasons why people celebrate, eg new baby, moving house, passing driving test or exam, and for the children things like learning new skills (putting coats on was always a good one at this time year)
