Guest
Has anybody organised a walking to school day and if so what did you do. This is linked to our Healthy Schools foe exercise, less cars on road and environmental issues.
Guest
They did one of these at my son's school, those who walked got a sticker saying 'I walked to school today'. How it was organised I don't know, sorry I can't be any more help. Sal
Guest Wolfie
There's a National Walk to School Week organised at least once annually - maybe if you Google it you might get some useful tips and advice?
AnonyMouse_3139
My playgroup was next door to school and because of the things I had to take most days we always needed to drive, so when these schemes arose he could never be part of it through no fault of his own. Please make sure the stickers are given fairly, its not always the childrens fault if they dont walk and they actually have no say over it.
