Guest
hi all does anyone have a recipe for gingerbread men that doesn't contain egg please thanks
Guest
Tho I haven't tried it I am willing to bet that a standard gingerbread man recipe with an egg in would work just as well without, but adding a splosh of milk or liquid to make up the difference. Haven't got time to try it as just out to a meeting, sorry!
AnonyMouse_7441
How to make Gingernut cookies: A classic cookie recipe from England. Easy to make and delicious. Ingredients 2 cups plain flour 2 teaspoons ground ginger 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 4 tablespoons brown sugar 2 tablespoons black treacle 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda 3 tablespoons butter Method - Sift the flour and spices into a mixing bowl. - Add the sugar. - Put the butter and treacle into a saucepan and warm until melted. - Add the bicarbonate of soda to the butter and treacle mix. - Pour into the flour and spice mix. - Mix to a stiff dough. - Roll the dough into small balls about as big as walnuts. - Place on a greased baking tray, well spaced out. - Bake at 160 degrees centigrade (see temperature conversions) for about 14 minutes. Just a biscuit recipe though...Wonder if dough would roll out into shapes? luluj Edited January 21, 2008 by luluj
