hello

just wondered if any one could help me

just come from a eyfs planning and assesment course.

have decided to ditch topic planning and to move forward to planning with childs interests. wanted to do this by just planning for the next day a day at a time. ie plan for monday, see what happens on monday, and plan for tuesday from what happened ect. make sense? Does anyone else do this? could i have a peep?

We would still have middle and long term plans to ensure total learning coverage

thank you

Can I just ask what you will have in your medium and long term plans to ensure coverage? Did the course give you any ideas for formats or how to ensure coverage?

none at all. it was more about the cycle of child>observations > assesment and planning. just finding it hard to get to grips with. i understand it, its just finding the right way for us to implement it.

sitting through it we realized were doing all the right things. but its just getting it down on paper as a working document (weekly plan)

I know exactly how you feel. I attend these courses, come away feeling that yes we are doing things right, but always feel that I'm not recording them sufficiently and no one will actually tell you how to do it!
