AnonyMouse_9850
hello just wondered if any one could help me just come from a eyfs planning and assesment course. have decided to ditch topic planning and to move forward to planning with childs interests. wanted to do this by just planning for the next day a day at a time. ie plan for monday, see what happens on monday, and plan for tuesday from what happened ect. make sense? Does anyone else do this? could i have a peep? We would still have middle and long term plans to ensure total learning coverage thank you
Guest Wolfie
Can I just ask what you will have in your medium and long term plans to ensure coverage? Did the course give you any ideas for formats or how to ensure coverage?
AnonyMouse_9850
mainly festivals, and general learning out comes as we realize by doing it this way we may miss things out,ie suddenly realize we havent covered say mathamatical development very well. AnonyMouse_8111
Think that is the same course as I am on tomorrow. I will pay full attention to see what is said about planning. Did they not give any examples of planning formats?
AnonyMouse_9850
none at all. it was more about the cycle of child>observations > assesment and planning. just finding it hard to get to grips with. i understand it, its just finding the right way for us to implement it. sitting through it we realized were doing all the right things. but its just getting it down on paper as a working document (weekly plan)
AnonyMouse_8111
I know exactly how you feel. I attend these courses, come away feeling that yes we are doing things right, but always feel that I'm not recording them sufficiently and no one will actually tell you how to do it!
