Guest
Hi! Tried a search but got an error message saying 'day' was too short a word and I couldn't think of another, longer way to say Mother's 'day' so came here instead We have children from 2 - 5 years and I'm looking for a simple song we could teach them as we are planning to invite the mums in at the end of one of the sessions. Also any tried and tested easy activities, cards etc would be great. We've done loads of different things in the past and I'd love to try something new. Thanks! AnonyMouse_10713
Hi LJW How about this: Sung to: "Twinkle, Twinkle" Sometimes Mum says "don't do this" Sometimes Mum says "don't do that" Still she loves me that I know. Why? Because she tells me so. Sometimes Mum says let's do this. Sometimes Mum says "kiss, kiss, kiss!" Shiny

AnonyMouse_705
Great songs. Andrea May is the tune 'If you're happy and you know it'? One year we gave Mums a simple posy, which was well received. An old favourite is bath salts made by the children using Epsom salts, adding a spot of food colouring, and perfume, wrapped in tissue paper and cellophane, with a ribbon. Adding a label, something like: This was made at Pre-School with my own fair hands a perfect gift for a perfect Mum, the best in all the land. Looking forward to seeing other people's ideas too. Guest
I put Mother's presents in the search and although it gave me quite a few unrelated topics I did find some after a quick look through. Here is one that had quite a few replies. Linda
AnonyMouse_2732
Just a tip, LJW - have you tried searching 'Mothering Sunday'?
AnonyMouse_73
I wont pretend I know for sure but I think if you put your mothers day in " ", you don't get the problem with the word being too short. (im not going to try it, go on you do it?)
