Guest
Hope someone can help! We send home a rhyme each week for the children to learn with family, and also practise it at school..problem is I was trying to be organised and prepare all 5 for next half term and have left my poem books at school... Does anyone have any short/original ones linked to pets/farm animals I could use? I only need 4 as Old Mac donald will be one week (not short or original but hopefully the parents might know it!!) Thank you

Guest
I went to visit a farm one day I saw a ...... across the way And what do you think I heard it say? (Sound of animal) It might be better if you use ones that parents know-it will make it easier for them to say it with their children. I find that if parents don't know a song or rhyme it can put them off. Linda
AnonyMouse_4544
This little piggy went to market. This little piggy stayed home. This little piggy had roast beef. This little piggy had none. This little piggy cried, "Wee, wee, wee, wee." All the way home. Five Little Piggies "It's time for my piggies to go to bed." The great big mother piggy said. "So I will count them first to see If all my piggies came back to me. One little piggy, two little piggies, three little piggies dear Four little piggies, five little piggies Yes, they're all here!" Old Mother Hubbard Old Mother Hubbard Went to the cupboard. To fetch her poor doggie a bone; But when she got there, The cupboard was bare, And so the poor doggie had none. Chick, Chick, Chick, Chick, Chicken Chick, chick, chick, chick, chicken, Lay a little egg for me. Chick, chick, chick, chick, chicken, I want one for my tea. I haven't had an egg since Easter, And now it's half past three. So, chick, chick, chick, chicken, Lay a little egg for me. Mary Had a Little Lamb Mary had a little lamb, Its fleece was white as snow. And everywhere that Mary went, The lamb was sure to go.
