Guest Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Hi I am trying to find some books about behaviour, but I can not think of one that is the right age range, 'just wiiliam' and 'What Katy did next' are perhaps a bit too advanced. I need to do a positive behaviour circle time activity so I was going to use a story as a point of discussion. many thanks
Guest Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Don't do that Kitty Kilroy..........I want my potty can't think of anymore right now brain is tired!!
Guest Wolfie Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 What sort of behaviours do you want to chat about? Anything in particular?
Guest Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 We had a couple of books at nursery, one was called 'DOn't be a Bully Billy' and the other was called 'Don't tell Lies Lucy'. Children loved them. HTH
Guest Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 there's one about 2 sisters where the oldest keeps telling her sister to get lost. when she does they spend hours looking for her to find that she has actually gone in and sat with mum. Can't remember the name of the book. lovely story i'm sure you would find it in the library. Steph
AnonyMouse_1326 Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 we have made our own books around the behaviour issues we wnat to disscuss, this has been done with clip art and pictures of the setting ect. we have then added our own text , so far we have not used the chidlren's names in the setting you could use the name of the settings teddy or persona doll if you have one
Guest Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Hi We recently bought these which are brilliant for 2 to 5 year olds. I really recommend the hands are not for hitting one and the I feel angry one too as it offers suggestions on how to release that angry feeling by kicking a football or telling your dog........ Our children really like them. http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0750214031 ‘I Feel Angry’ by Brian Moses (Author), Mike Gordon (Illustrator) http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1575420775 Hands Are Not for Hitting (Paperback) by Martine Agassi (Author) http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1575421283 Teeth Are Not for Biting (Are Not for) (Board book) by Elizabeth Verdick (Author)
