Guest
Help i'm stuck!!! the playgroup has been invited to attend our church for Easter Sunday service. We are in the process of creating our Easter bonnets and we will have a parade in the church. I thought it would be nice if we could all learn a song linked to Easter and share it with the church on the Sunday. Have you any ideas?
AnonyMouse_2760
Nikki Davies does a lovely book/CD with backing tracks 'It must be Spring' and 'Songs for every Easter'. there are some lovely very young child friendly songs and are always favourites. It must be spring (3-6) - http://www.outoftheark.com/products/produc...tails.php?id=28 or Songs for every easter (5-11) - http://www.outoftheark.com/products/product_details.php?id=
Guest
Hi, these 2 are our firm favourites and work well across the ages. 12345 I know Jesus is alive 6789 10, and He's coming back again. Why did He go away, to come alive on Easter Day? That's what He had to do, To bring new life to me and you! (I'm sure you know the tune to that one!) God's not dead, NO! HE IS ALIVE! God's not dead, NO! HE IS ALIVE! God's not dead, NO! HE IS ALIVE! I can feel it in my hands (clap clap) Feel it in my feet (stamp stamp) Feel it in my heart (tap chest 'boom boom) Feel it all over me (Shout 'Whoosh!' and jump up high!) (Not sure what the tune is... it goes: C C C No! E E D EDC D D D No! E E D EDC C C C No! E E D EDC C C E E E D C (clap clap) E E E D C (stamp stamp) E E E DC (boom boom) E E F E D C Does that make sense?!!!
Guest
My Reception children loved the 'Spring Chicken' song from Songs for Every Easter. If you click on the link that Michaelle has given you, you can actually listen to it. I would think playgroup could manage it with help as it is a very catchy tune. We made bouncy chickens with paper plates which the children loved as well.
AnonyMouse_7317
i think i'll wear for easter a bonnet made of lace, But best of all I think i'll wear a smile upon my face A smile upon my face a smile upon my face I think i'd like that better than a bonnet made of lace (this goes to the litle teapot tune I think) Here is a fun Easter tune called "Hippoty-Hoppity Easter Bunny" It is sung to the tune of the "Eensy,Weensy Spider". The children sing this song seated with legs out stretched and hands touching toes. It goes like this The Hippoty Hopity Easter Bunny is coming straight and me. Closer and closer he hops up on my knee. Up to my shoulder the Bunny's much to near. Happy Easter, he whispers in my ear. (As the children sing this song, their hands hop from their feet to their knees and eventually to their shoulders and ears. They absolutely love it!!!!!) 5 little Easter eggs, Lovely colors wore; Mother ate the blue one, Then there were four. 4 little Easter eggs, Two and two, you see; Daddy ate the red one, Then there were three. 3 little Easter eggs, Before I knew, Sister ate the yellow one, Then there were two. Two little Easter eggs, Oh, what fun! Brother ate the purple one, Then there was one. 1 little Easter egg, See me run!!! I ate the last one, And then there was none. You can also use the children's names instead of the mother, daddy, etc.... ing this to the tune of 5 Elephants went out to play.
