Hobbycraft have plastic eggs that come apart-I know it's plastic but they are good for hiding things in.

Feathers.

I have bought some lovely wooden eggs on ebay in the past.............usually around £4-£5 for a box of four (sometimes 6 if i'm lucky!), really nice and plain, lovely to handle.Don't make the same mistake I made though, I bought a box of really pretty painted ones in Ikea, which had strings on for hanging the eggs up .........................and i just didn't think about taking them off, until one of the children came over to me, looking like he had a fistful of large, coloured warts!!! And it was a heck of a job untangling them to remove them........needless to say, strings are now snipped off ( I dread to think what might have happened really, they could have cut his blood supply off and I doubt his parents would have appreciated me giving them a bagful of fingers at the end of the session!!! xD:o
