Guest
Up until now, we haven't had a separate 'Keyworker Policy' (for Pre School - rising 3s to 5s) - we've included information about our keyworker system in various bits of other policies and documents (including a letter to parents on admission). Now that keyworkers have been 'formalised' in the EYFS however, I think a specific Keyworker Policy would be a good idea. Would anyone mind sharing either their policy or details about their keyworker system (for example, do you make sure that keyworkers are always the first to welcome their key children, or that they speak to parents at pick-up, etc? We don't do this as routine, but perhaps we should ...?). Also, has anyone revised their keyworker system/policy in light of the EYFS? Huge thanks in anticipation! AnonyMouse_64
Hi, You might find the following discussions useful to you. What Is A Keyworker? Keyperson Policy Inge also put her keyworker policy in the Resource Library which can be found here.
AnonyMouse_705
Have used the keyworker policies from this site. Was told by our SureStart advisor just before our last Ofsted last year now that we would have to have a keyworker policy shortly presumably with the EYFS. So we have one. It does clarify things. Guest
Thanks for the signposts, Beau . It's good to know we're not the only ones implementing this in anticipation of the EYFS, Deb!
