Guest Wolfie Posted April 9, 2008 Share Posted April 9, 2008 I've been offered lots of frogspawn in the last week from friends with ponds - but have been told today that frogspawn shoudln't be moved around at the moment because there is a nasty virus affecting the frog population and we need to prevent it spreading...has anyone else heard this? Guest Posted April 9, 2008 Share Posted April 9, 2008 Hi Wolfie I haven't heard anything and have just done a google search and can't find anything current for here in the UK-the last news of a virus was in 2002. The only article I could find was about America. We have a pond and ours are now tadpoles-that's if they haven't all frozen to death with this weather we are having! Guest Posted April 9, 2008 Share Posted April 9, 2008 We've just acquired some frogspawn so I hope that there isn't a virus around. The children are fascinated by them although some of them are a bit confused. I heard one child yesterday telling another that tadpoles grow into fish!
