AnonyMouse_7317
Hi All I was asked by a friend who is expecting what to look for when she visits potential child care settings for her new baby. I have put together a list for her which I thought I would post on her for everyone to use/ look at and add to. I am sure i have not covered half the things but I am hoping I have covered the main points. AnonyMouse_1469
! agree, a really good list..........................my daughter has just been 'doing the rounds' of nurseries for her little boy and the first one that she liked, she crossed off her list when she saw how the children sleep...........on a mattress on the floor, all together, sharing the same bedding etc and the mattress was split, and held together with gaffer tape (this had been picked up on at their Ofsted in October, but they clearly have ignored the action to change how they sleep) the next one was lovely and she really liked it....................but...the staff were changing babies nappies on the work surface, where they prep all the feeding bottles, and the person changing them had one pair of gloves on for all the children and no apron.Lovely..........not! AnonyMouse_7317
Isn't it terrible settings like that still exist it must be so hard for parents choosing a setting for the first time if they have no experience of whatto look for
