Guest Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Hi Does anyone know if i can find the book "reflective teaching in the primary school" online anywhere. I have written an assignment and put a quote in from this book but i can't get hold of a copy without buying it.... i have been to the local library and asked them to contact me when it comes in but my assignment is now due in next week...... Can't believe i have done this.. funny thing is i don't even remember reading the book, but i have a quote from it... i'm beginning to think it might have been in a handout from college but can't find the handout......
AnonyMouse_832 Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I have this book but it's an old copy 2nd edition 1993. Any help? I looked it up on Amazon and you can get second hand copies - quite cheap and usually quick delivery http://www.amazon.co.uk/Reflective-Teachin...7012&sr=1-1
Guest Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I regularly have this problem although each time I swear it won't happen again Someone on here suggested I put the quote in inverted commas and google it. Sometimes it works - sometimes it doesn't! Worth a try though
AnonyMouse_4177 Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I've got 'Readings for Reflective Teaching' by Andrew Pollard - is that any help? Can you give us the quote? Posy
Guest Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 My quote says "Research my milner(1983) and Maxine(1991) shows that children as young as 3 years of age understand the differences in colour and are aware of their racial hierarchy. Children learn this by seeing and hearing the people around them treating black people differently"..... Be great if you can help..... can't believe i've done this.........
Guest Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I googled your quote and it came up exactly as you wrote it but in a different book - have copied the link for you to have a look Look halfway down page 19 http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=xak4_vy...;hl=en#PPA16,M1
AnonyMouse_832 Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 had a look in the name index of my copy and I can't find any mention of Milner and maxine? Any other clues?
