Guest Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Hi all, Just wondered if anyone knows of any books which have clear photos of continuous curriculum areas? I know about the LEARN one but I need very clear photos of what high quality continuous curriculum 'looks like'.......any ideas? Thanks! Matt
Guest Wolfie Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 (edited) This book has some really good photos.... http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=sr_kk_1?ie=U...earn%20lewisham I've just noticed that it says it's out of stock - you can get it from Featherstone Education as well - might even be cheaper on there! AnonyMouse_1469 Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 yes, nice book, sitting on my bookshelf as we speak!Lots of lovely ideas and great long lists of items to extend play...................recommended
AnonyMouse_11485 Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 I've got the one that Wolfie recommended - it's great! - but I don't know the LEARN one - what's it called?
AnonyMouse_1326 Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 If it is they pne i am thinking of it is called a place to learn
Guest Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 You may be thinking of 'A Corner to Learn' by Neil Griffiths which is about creating role play areas.
Guest Wolfie Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 "A Place to Learn" is the book that I've suggested....we need Matt to come back and tell us if we're going round in circles!

AnonyMouse_5013 Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 I've just spent my Saturday at Wingate Early Years Conference and purchased a photo cd of their continuous provision which is available email w.trainingbase100@durhamlea.org.uk or phonr 01429 837 572 Did you enjoy the conference. Out of interest how much did it cost to go? its just I noticed that there is another one coming up in a a couple of weeks!
AnonyMouse_4544 Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 I had a really interesting day unfortunately Claire Warden couldn't be there due to the death of her mum but Dr Margy Whalley stepped in for the morning session and Sue Pearson spoke in the afternoon. I came away some ideas to use and some others to tweak. It cost £130 for the day and the food was wonderful
AnonyMouse_4544 Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 Just noticed the CD says pictures can be used if source is acknowledged so these are from Wingate Nursery school and children's centre
Guest Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 Ah ha, that all looks great!! I will look into the CD too!!! Thanks for your help!! Matt

Guest Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 These are wonderful! You can do this in any provision as I went to see a Leading Early Years teaching in my county last year and she had made an amazing environment in an old Victorian building. Here are a few!
