AnonyMouse_7610 Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Hi all, have been asked to do a staff meeting input on letters and sounds for the rest of the school, just wondered if anyone had found any sort of "officially produced" presentations? I found one on the EYFS on teachernet and I wondered if there was anything similar for L&S? Or if anyone has any tips on what to include I'd be very grateful! Thanks! x

Guest Wolfie Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Have you done a forum search? Someone posted a copy of a booklet for parents all about Letters and Sounds that was really good and would help you no end! Or maybe someone cleverer than me will find it and do a direct link.....

Guest Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 There is one on this website that I used when I fed back to my staff- "Phonics staff meeting." http://www.lancsngfl.ac.uk/nationalstrateg...category_id=274 I found it really useful as it started with the basics, which was really great when giving training to key stage 2 teachers who don't know the first thing about phonics!
Guest Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 That presentation looks really useful marion - the other websites look good too. Thankyou
AnonyMouse_832 Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 http://www.standards.dfes.gov.uk/local/clld/las/cpd.html there are 2 powerpoints on the website.
AnonyMouse_6324 Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 HI I have used the Devon Educational Services website. I think there is a powerpoint presentation which would be a good starting point. They also have good resources section for letters and sounds. Good luck! http://www.dcseducation.org
