Guest Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Hi, has anybody done this acreditation or going through the process? My boss and the specialist teaching service lady have just put me forward to go through it and I just wanted to know if anybody had any experiences to share.
Guest Wolfie Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Tell us more - I've never heard of "Early Talk" and it sounds very interesting!
Guest Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Is it the 'I can' accreditation training? If so our LA have just started to introduce it to settings but weve had no feedback yet as no one has yet started the accreditation process, i'll sure let you know if we get any though. The package we are using consists of a day's training session for practitioner followed by them producing a portfolio of how they have used and introduced the training into their settings along with a setting visits to enable you to gain accreditation. 'I Can' provide all of the training documentation/materials/powerpoints etc but you can adapt it slightly to the needs of practitioners. The package we are using gives practitioners basic tips and information they will need to be able to identify and support children with speech, language and understanding difficulties. As I say its very new to our authority but im sure someone else who has completed the accreditation will be along to give you lots of information. Good luck with it Paula
