Time Of My Life

Yesterday I took my husband for his Xmas pressie experience. Of course selfishly I also booked myself into the same thing :o so of course I had to 'suffer' the experience as well. We went to 'Meet the Birds' at a falconry centre and it was fantastic. We were shown lots of wonderful birds, owls, Harris Hawks, eagles, etc. Harry Potter fans would love the Snowy Owls. Then we went out on a field in the Cheshire countryside and could handle and fly them.

Fantastic!

My favourite children's book as well Peggy. I love it and have the puppets etc. We saw lots of owls, snowy, scop owls, burrowing owls, tawny, barn owls etc. all sorts of Eagle owls. Most owls are diurnal which I didn't know, but British owls are nocturnal.

This is OH with an African spotted Eagle Owl, apparently if they have tufts of feathers on their heads they are Eagle owls.

OHs?

Now how did I know you would come back with that reply Maz? :(

and no I wouldn't descrbe my OH as majestic even though he thinks he's king of the castle. (I'm the queen bee xD )

Mind you JacquieL's OH does look a bit like King Arthur, don't you think? (said in the nicest possible way :o )

Well yes Peggy now that you say that he does and it is an improvement on what most people say.. that he looks like Captain Bird's Eye!

Last time we both went to the Isle of Man we were sitting on the boat when a small child came across and stood staring at him. He just smiled and said hello and then carried on reading. Her scrutiny went on for some time and then she went back to her parents. Then she popped back and forth for some time. Eventually the Father came over and told us that she thought he was Father Christmas!!!
