Anyone Tutor R/yr 1 Children? How Much Do You Charge?

Hi!

 

My next door neighbour has a Y1 child and as I am a FS/KS1 teacher she has asked if I would be interested in doing some after school catch up tutoring with him, I have never done it before, how much is reasonable for an hour? No agency fees etc so i don't want to rip her off or under charge!

Hello and welcome the forum.

 

I've done this a few times and have charged 10 pounds for 1/2 hour. They've also cooked me dinner :-) I think thats probably quite cheap compared with someone who does it properly but I don't really do it for the money.

We had some tutoring for our son to get him through his English exam. She charged £20 an hour.

My friend pay £18 per hour for her year 4 son. The tutor has two children at a time.

Last year I tutored a Year One child...I got £25 an hour! Just realised how good this was looking at how much other people have been charging! But, other teachers at school charge the same.

hiya

I had a tutor for my daughter and she came to our house and charged £10 for around 50 mins .

this was long enough time for a 1- 1.
