Guest
Does anyone know a number rhyme that can be used for the concept of finding more or less? My brain is fried and I can't think of anything!
Guest
The word fried reminded me of the excellent web site from priory woods. I think on there you can watch sausages going pop and bang. Hope it helps
Guest
5 little speckled frogs 5 little men in a flying saucer 10 in the bed 10 fat sausages ... these all count down, so finding one less (or 2 less for the sausages one). As for counting up/finding one more .... ummmm?! I'm sure others can add more!

Two little scarecrows happy as can be along came another and then there were 3. 3 little scarecrows standing near the door along came another and then there were 4. 4 little scarecrows dancing a jive along came another and then there were 5. less than: 5 little firemen standing in a row, 1 2 3 4 5 they go. Hop on the engine with a SHOUT, quick as a wink the fire is out. 4 little firemen standing in a row 1 2 3 4 ssh they go, hop on the engine with a SHOUT, quick as a wink the fire is out. 3 Little firemen standing in a row 1 2 3 ssh ssh they go, hop on the ngine with a SHOUT, quick as a wink the fire is out. 2 Little firemen standing in a row, 1 2 ssh ssh ssh they go hop on the engine with a SHOUT quick as a wink the fire is out. 1 little fireman standing all alone, 1 ssh ssh ssh ssh he goes, hop on the engine with a SHOUT quick as a wink the fire is out. AnonyMouse_1469
5 little penguins sitting on an iceberg, far far away in a stormy sea If one little penguin fell into the water (make a SPLOOOOOOOOOSH sound here!!) how many penguins would there be?? etc, until all are gone and then: there's a lonely little iceberg floating in the water all on its own in a stormy sea if one little penguin jumped onto that iceberg how many penguins would there be?? and carry on until you have enough penguins!!
