AnonyMouse_1027 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Hi, Ok need to get used to doing e profile, was told by our EY tonight we can either photocopy profiles or use the e profile!!! Firstly which do i choose????? dont fancy copying 24 profiles to fill in to start with! Downloaded E profile put in LEA and cohort and URN no, then it asked for a password?????? would this be one i need to get from the LEA? thanks xxxx
Guest Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 I love using e profile it's really easy once you get going, the password for mine was just the word 'password' not sure if its the same for everyone but it's worth a try.
AnonyMouse_1027 Posted September 23, 2008 Author Posted September 23, 2008 owww will give it a go......thanks
AnonyMouse_2157 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 eprofile over the booklets for sure- so much data and value added you can get immediately, not to mention the graphs that help with special needs- go for it Hali
AnonyMouse_1027 Posted September 23, 2008 Author Posted September 23, 2008 ok got in with 'passord' - why did i not think of that! Got to putting kiddies details in - UPN 'unique pupil number????? do i have to get this info from LEA???? sorry but this could take some time
AnonyMouse_2157 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 hi Hali your school office should have all this info- that's if you have one- ask the bursor or secretary
AnonyMouse_79 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Hali, I think you will need to go back to your LEA for this but do remember that the profile is for those children who will be 5 this school year not your whole group.
AnonyMouse_1027 Posted September 23, 2008 Author Posted September 23, 2008 Apple dont have a school office - wish i did! ok will contact LEA> We were told we had to now do profiles for all the children as soon as they turn 4????
AnonyMouse_73 Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Hi Hali, the profile is for children in the year in which they turn 5, so it would only be for your children that will be going to school within the next academic year. As far as I know you don't get UPNs for children in pre school (ill happily be corrected on this) and so the only way you could use the eprofile is by getting 'dummy' numbers. I have used these in the past, and if your LA supports the eprofile they should be able to give you some. Otherwise, if its only for a few children, then Id use paper copies as the info wont be easily transferable when they go to school anyway. (ill just add Ive not worked with it for about a year, so maybe some new things have come on board that I don't know about?!)
AnonyMouse_1027 Posted September 24, 2008 Author Posted September 24, 2008 well we need to do this for 24 children this year dont have enough paper copies and am not happy downloading and printing off (time, money and above all quality - not like having booklets posted to you).... talked to EY today and they are going to get back to me on UPN dummies as you say Mundia! - so watch this space!
AnonyMouse_73 Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Thats a lot of children Hali, presumably you have multiple entry pints into school in your area? Im so used to just the one (ie September!)
AnonyMouse_8466 Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 they are going to get back to me on UPN dummies You're not talking about our esteemed leaders at the Borough are you hali?
AnonyMouse_1027 Posted September 24, 2008 Author Posted September 24, 2008 yes i am M Mundia at present we have 3 intakes into school!
AnonyMouse_1027 Posted September 25, 2008 Author Posted September 25, 2008 just found out today - if PV settings can use it will be called 'eyeprofile'!
Guest Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Hi! UPN's are for children who are at school or if they are in a nursery that is part of the school. E-profile has saved me so much time in comparison to the paper copy of the profile. Also allows for you to compare with other children much more easily. Hope that helps.
