Guest
Hello I currently have a straight forward home corner but whilst it is very popular I am very aware that there are very few literacy and numeracy links in it. I am in a mixed nursery/reception with mixed SEN and regular pupils. I feel that I need to have something but my mind is completely blank! Please help. Thank you
AnonyMouse_1195
Add message pads, pencils, pens, paper, envelopes ( different sizes), stamps, newspapers, magazines, a catalogue, children's comics, a calendar, telephone, scales, height chart, graded bowls and spoons, baking trays, cups, saucers and plates in matching colour sets, knives, forks, spoons for laying the table, different sized dolls and different sized clothing for them. also purse, shopping bags and coins. There is a role-play plan in the resources section in the Resource Library under role-play with some ideas as well. I hope this helps.
Guest Wolfie
Also have a look at the Sparklebox website, which has lots of role play notices, templates for message pads, etc. which you could use... http://www.sparklebox.co.uk/
