Motorbike Interest

I have been observing the children in my setting and for the past 2 or 3 days they have used the big construction materials to make roads/ramps then pretended they were motorbikes/bikes in their play-we have decided to use their interest in ths area to focus on bikes etc when we go back after hols-any ideas what we can do ? last year we visited local car garage and set up role play etc -we are foundation stage therefore did not want to do exactly the same -any suggestions/resources welcome ... before I spend hours thinking of new ideas!!!

Do you know anyone who could bring a motorbike to the setting? I had a couple of lads one year who had seen a motor bike in our car park and were really keen on it. I took them out with drawing materials and asked them to draw what they could see. The pictures were fab.

That memory has made me smile :o

I can only think of the song '5 wonky bicycles'.We once had a trip to a park where we accidently meet a Park Ranger on a motorbike and he was great at showing the children hes bike and letting them sit on it with him. There are other bike users? police, paramedics, pizza hut :o .Some opportunities for extention? and/or getting visitors in

we had the police come in with a motorcycle.. children loved it, extended the play into police and people who help us..

My son also came in with his at the time.. ask parents is any of them have one.. may surprise you as to who has one.. how about scooters as well..

we too took children out to draw the bikes.. and took photos to use inside to make models of them
