Recommended Posts

Can anyone help me please! I am looking for examples of F1 planning in line with the EYFS. We are a primary school with an F1 attached. Many thanks

Hello Amy 1, A warm welcome to the forum and thank you for your first post. :o

Your query seems a bit broad, could you be a bit more specific? What planning do you already have? Were you looking for ideas of planning for every area of the EYFS or any particular single area of the curriculum? Have you seen the continuous provision planning in the resource section? Or try putting 'continuous provision' into the search, this will bring up many posts on this type of planning. Are you looking for adult led activities type planning?

As you can see, many questions, so to help others help you, try and ask a more specific question and I'm sure many others will be along soon to welcome you and to help. xD

Peggy

Yes thanks it was broad because I wrote it quickly in between break and setting up for assembly. I work in F2 and am helping my new F1 teacher and nursery nurse plan for F1. The planning in place works well but they only have 2 members of staff in the room now with 25 children and another but she is supporting a child with SEN so cant really be used. We had free flow last year but it is quite hard to manage this year with 1 less person. I wondered what others were doing in this situation and how mush focused work you were doing on a weekly or 2 weekly basis. Thank you for your input.

Hi Amy, and welcome to the forum.

It sounds to me that you are thinking about the organisation with your F1 staff rather than actual planning formats? SO probably whatever was used before can still be used, or adapted for less staff but you're not sure how to manage it? Have I understood correctly?

2 adults with 25 children is quite normal for a school nursery and there will be many members here working with that ratio, who I am sure will pop along and help you out. When you mentioned free flow, did you mean inside and outside, and what are the restrictions that make that difficult for you now?

It might be worth also looking at your daily routine, if you are happy to share it with us?
