AnonyMouse_3139 Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 I've been trying to find pictures from this years Paralympics to display at playgroup, not to point out 'that man has one arm' or ' that lady cant see', just positive images of people competeing and being awarded medals. I've looked in the newspapers, Express, Times, Independent, Sun, Mirror, Daily Mail....Nothing! No-one is reporting them. Eighteen pages on sport in the Express on Sunday, with 1 small paragraph about the cyclists. My 14 year old son found it shocking and unbelievable, and I agree. I'm now going to email the newspapers and tell them what I think. (moan over) Quote
SueFinanceManager Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 Rea Here's a link to the BBC sports page BBC Sport that has a photo gallery of the paralympics in Athens. There is a nice photo of the wheelchair tennis, maybe others if you have a little more time than me to go through them all. Hope this helps Sue Quote
AnonyMouse_3139 Posted September 21, 2004 Author Posted September 21, 2004 Thanks Sue, I'll have a look, but newspapers save my ink! Quote
AnonyMouse_64 Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 I was really pleased to see that the BBC had extended it's coverage of this this year. We don't get newspapers as I do everything online nowadays and tend to print everything from the internet but it is heavy on ink. We refill ours nowadays which makes it a lot cheaper. Quote
