AnonyMouse_11653 Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Hi, I have been trying for about the last hour to find a copy of a body map (front & back) to include in our child protection folder. I'm really not having much luck, could anyone tell me where to look as i am getting quite despondent!! Thanks Kris
Guest Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 The PLA publication 'Child Protection Record- guidelines for safeguarding children in early years settings' has a child body diagram. It can be ordered at www.pre-school.org.uk
Guest Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Hi, have you googled "child protection body map"? There are several to choose from on there. The first site offered two - one for age 5-19 and one for the under 5's. Nona
AnonyMouse_11653 Posted November 3, 2008 Author Posted November 3, 2008 Hi Thanks for your replies, I have managed to find some good ones on Nottingham Council website. Kris
AnonyMouse_1326 Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 can you post the link to share with us all please
AnonyMouse_8466 Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 can you post the link to share with us all please I'm sure I downloaded a first aid form with a body map on it from here. It was fab: it included the whole body but also hands, fingers, head etc so you could do a more detailed diagram of the affected area if necessary! Maz
Guest Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 I think I uploaded this before. Is this the one you've got Maz?
AnonyMouse_8466 Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 I think I uploaded this before. Is this the one you've got Maz? Yes, this is the one on the first aid form! How clever are you? Maz
AnonyMouse_1999 Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Don't know if it's of any use but the Essex site do 2 pages of body maps. The first shows the common non-accidental injury sites and the common ones (detailed in red for non accidental and blue for accidental) the second page is blank body outlines for recording injuries Here is a link http://www.essexcc.gov.uk/microsites/ESCB/...T_Body_Maps.doc
AnonyMouse_8466 Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Thanks for this Geraldine: it looks very useful. Will print off some copies for the staff. Maz
