Maths Ideas - People Who Help Us.

Hi everyone,

Need some ideas please - we are currently doing "people who help us" in my class - its not my favorite topic but the children seem to be embracing it!! I need some inspiration for PSRN next week - we have spent this week building using recyclable materials to make fire engines, police cars etc but I need some counting or number recognition ideas for next week but cant think of anything! We are having a visit from the local fire station too next week.

Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks x

Counting vehicles sonds quick and easy!

 

Putting them in groups ie fire engines, police etc.

 

How about making number plates........ strips of paper and the children either write number plates they can see in the car park...... or you have numbers and letters cut up ready for them to assemble a number plate?

 

Do any of the toy vehicles have number plates?

 

Just a quick thought!
