Guest
Hi - just a general fact finding question really - are people making changes to their timetables (for reception) for the spring term - and if so what are you adding/taking out? MAny thanks for any responses. xx
Guest
Hi - we're just making a few changes. We do the Ruth Miskin read write inc phonics programme and have finished teaching the set 1 sounds in our classes and will be assessing the children this week and then grouping them for our phonics times. We are also going to group our children for maths and have more focussed group times. We have used this term as settling in time working mainly on personal and social, getting to know the children and their capabilities so next term there will be more differentiated group times going alogside continuous provision. Guest
our changes are mainly based on the fact they are all full time after christmas. We have had part timers in mornings snad afternoon sotend to repeat our sessions. So we will not need snack time etc in the afternoon. Our snack cafe is working out really well and having no set playtime with key stage 1 is working out too as we are having our free flo in and out. Still undecided on assmeblies yet on which ones we feel we should go in and speak to our head about it
