Guest Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 Have a look at http://www.cmsdnet.net/allianceplus/pipesu...eredhensong.htm The story of the Little Red Hen sung to the tune of The Mulberry Bush.
SueFinanceManager Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 Hi Shootingstar Sorry this is not an idea for an activity but might make you smile. My friend asked her little boy what he needed to take in for harvest festival and he replied a cow. It turns out they are collecting money to buy a cow for a village in Africa. My friend was relieved as she wasn't sure where to buy a cow at such short notice Sue
Guest Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 We collect tins for our local refugee network. I explain it to the children by using the nursery rhyme Old Mother Hubbard-the tins are for children whose mothers go to the cupboard and find it bare.
AnonyMouse_2732 Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 Nice one!! We collected donations across our two nurseries for local old folks homes. The other nursery had this enormous great box FULL. We had a tin of beans, a tin of tuna and a packet of pasta. We obviously have tuna pasta bake too often!! Sue
