AnonyMouse_1208 Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 We have a new member of staff who is monitoring planning throughout the school. They have a checklist fro KS1 and 2, but this does not really 'fit' the Foundation Stage. Does anyone have any proformas that they can share? How do you overcome this?
AnonyMouse_3307 Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 Write a list of what you would expect to see in good planning and then create a grid. ??? Long term/medium term/short term goals identified Clear objectives Activities matched to objectives Clear differentiation including SEN/EAL provision in focused activities Balance of adult initiated / child initiated opportunities planned across all 6 areas indoors and outdoors planned for equally Use of ICT Use of assessment to inform planning TArgeted children/groups identified Use of additional adults/staff ...............................................................??
AnonyMouse_1208 Posted October 10, 2004 Author Posted October 10, 2004 Thanks Catma, I hadn't thought of doing it like that! Made me think about my planning too!!
AnonyMouse_3307 Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 I may have a grid that i made at work, but it was for Literacy and numeracy planning specifically as it was for a whole school lit/num focus, but I'll see if it's still there. Cx
