Guest Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 We are thinking of starting one up to run alongside the parent groups. Do you use a voucher system and insist someone brings something to swap? Or do you just give away the clothing? I was wondering if we just give them a token when they bring something and then they ecvhange the token for another item of clothing. Do you use sites like freecycle to get clothes to swap? Thanks. Sorry to keep posting on here with so many questions, but it's so valuable to have someone else's experinces and views.
Guest Wolfie Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Hi! I think it's a brilliant idea. We've got a basket of clothes that parents can contribute/rummage through(!) but nothing more organised than that. Your voucher idea sounds a good one.
AnonyMouse_10713 Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 It is a really good idea!! I have loads of baby clothes that my girl has grown out of and would love for this to be happening near me!! Hint MissA, anywhere near Essex??
AnonyMouse_13453 Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 We have people donate old clothes to us and parents take them and give a small donation to Preschool funds
AnonyMouse_8466 Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Sorry to keep posting on here with so many questions, but it's so valuable to have someone else's experinces and views. That's what we're here for MissA - although it sounds as if you've come up with a good idea here - so it works both ways! Maz
Guest Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 We have brick-a-brack. parents will bring in unwanted clothes and make a small donation.
