Making A Link!

Some of you have requested how to put in a link to another topic. I thought I would let you know how.

Go to the topic you want to copy. Click on the web address at the top of the page-where it has http://www. etc. Copy this. Write your post and when you want to put in the link click on the grey box with http:// in it-it's just above this box near Normal Mode. Paste the address you have copied and click ok in the box that opens. Another box will open and you can put in whatever you want. So for example I have put a link into the topic where I found the requests and I put in the words "right here". So you can find this right here.

You can also import addresses from elsewhere using the same method. So you can post a web site that you think is useful. Like this.

Hope this helps! And good luck!!! :o

Something I forgot to say-in the post box when you add the link it comes up looking like gobbledegook! It's not until you actually add the post that it looks as it should. So don't worry if it looks weird you probably won't have got it wrong. Try previewing the post and it should be ok.

Why not have a practice in this post rather than try it with something you really want others to know about. Then if you get it wrong it doesn't matter!!

Catma, if you are using netscape as I am, you have to paste your link by using ctrl V.
