Guest
Somebody gave me an idea today actually....! Let the children play with a toy penguin.....stuffed/fluffy type. Then overnight....soak the penguin in water and freeze him...he'll be solid as anything the next day. Freeze little plastic penguins in ice (in water tray) and give them different tools to try and get the penguins out. xx

Guest
We froze little cuddly toys last week, how I wish I'd had a video to record their expressions when they picked them up. Absolutely brilliant

Steve
Hi Natasha - I've moved your topic to the 'Snow and Ice' forum area, where you'll find a number of discussions about similar activities. You might also like to look at the recent topic support article on snow and ice which has a number of general ideas under the six areas of learning - along with a couple of focus plans for each area. Guest
freezing cuddlies is a good way of killing dustmites etc so you're meeting hygiene standards too! Nona
