Wondered how to extend the interest in lego, e.g. recording work in pictures, labelling with relevant words available. Thought of asking questions, e.g how many bricks, what colour etc. Any ideas would be welcome. This after a little adult input would be mostly independent work. AnonyMouse_13453 Posted February 1, 2009 Share Posted February 1, 2009 We have printed with it this week whilst looking at shapes, made some good oblongs and squares and if you turn them over you get lots of little circles. Also if you get them to build their models on a sheet of large paper and then draw around them, you can see the beginnings of simple plans/maps and add roads,etc - they love this and it has good links to K and U of the World. AnonyMouse_4544 Posted February 2, 2009 Share Posted February 2, 2009 A bit like the good old Krypton factor create a barrier so pairs of children can't see what the other is doing one child has a picture of a model made with lego (limited number of pieces according to age) the other has the pieces and has to make the model from their partners instructions.
