Jabadao

Hi, saw this post and it made me jump! in a good way as I'm just completing a small comparitive study based on Jabadao and DMP, have found it very interesting and has a wealth of literature to support the benefits of jabadao- just google it and even the jabadao website is full of useful info

I only got to implement for one session within my setting but the children loved the equipment straight away and need very little encouragement; the setting I visited have a 45-minute session every week which the children love-its gives them the chance to explore their bodies and imagination with such simple (albeit some expensive if you buy the 'proper' stuff) equipment and makes excellent opportunity to observe your children and really get to know them- you can really see which children are following certain schemas

Staff have been really positive about my study focus and introducing jabadao and one staff has even said the money she raises from a charity walk will be to fund staff to attend training which is nice to hear such a positive reaction

For what reason are you asking about Jabadao- for studying/ research purposes or are you looking to implement it in your setting?
