Guest
I did it a couple of years a go so I'll try and help if I can. I was very lucky as someone in my school gave me her threshold to base it on. Is there anyone at your school that can help you? I've always been told the head isn't allowed to help but the deputy is and it is recommended that you go for advice there. My deputy read through mine. I also had a colleague doing hers at the same time so we looked at each others. I did go a bit overboard with mine and it is recommended only to do 3 or 4 bullet points for each area where I was trying to put down everything that I had done. Ask me anything else - I'm more than happy to help. I'm going to be helping my colleague in the next few months anyway so it gets me tuned into it! I remember it not being as bad as I first thought though so don't panic
Guest
thank you!!did you have to collect a lot of evidence?
Guest
no but then I'd been in the same school since I was an NQT so my head know everything i'd done - it might have been different if I hadn't although I'd still say that as it is your head that is assessing you he/she should be aware of what you've done. I know when they had external assessors for threshold it was all a bit of a nightmare with paperwork but I don't think that's the case now. You may need copies of tracking and have your subject leader file/s available, maybe details of trainings/courses but I wouldn't think you'd need any more than that. Guest
Hi, I don't know if this has happened yet but when I had my performance management in Oct ny head said that the guidelines for threshold are changing and you just need to have completed two succesful performance management cycles and won't need all the evidence. I'm due to apply for mine in Sept. Maybe this might not be the case but it would ne nice to know. Becs
