This is a fab thread Happy Maz, thanks for all the work your putting in for us all.

I've used up my quota already, but I am surprised no-one has chose Dogger yet. That would be my next choice if I was allowed any more.

This is an excellent topic, i'm trying to encourage reading and looking at my book corners so it's really helpful

my 3 favourites are,

Walking through the jungle

dinosaur rumpus and

kippers toybox

the children love them and in the case of the first 2 can recite them without looking at the books.

Any Topsy & Tim ... not sure if that's cheating?! they take me back to my childhood

Oh golly that makes me feel old as they take me back to my children's younger days as I read them to my babies.....weren't around when I was little.....hard to produce books on tablets of stone :o

Oh! The Bog Baby is a gorgeous book - and have you seen the other one by the same author, 'The King of Tiny Things'? Such beautiful illustrations and really thought provoking. Also I'd add DandyLion and No Mater What to the list. 2 years on, I've finally made a choice!
