AnonyMouse_20436
During the summer term we plan to involve the children in gardening activities. The topic title is 'The Garden'! We have done this before and it proved very successful! However, if anyone has any great ideas, especially practical hands-on activities would be great. We have access to concrete playground. AnonyMouse_14602
Despite only having concrete playground, you could still plant seeds or plants in other containers. Such as grow-bags for tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, etc. and plant seeds such as beans, sunflowers in pots. Or plant up large containers with summer bedding plants. It depends how much money you have to spend as the cost of soil, grow-bags, plants, seeds etc does add up. Also if you do grow anything tall like sunflowers its a good activity to get the children measuring them each day. Hope you have fun, I love doing gardening with children.
