Guest
Hi Well i'm progressing well, i have completed one 3000 word essay so far over the easter holidays, now working on my child study... i'm looking for a good quote to link in with social skills, can anyone point me in the right direction of a theorist etc... was looking for something to do with friendships or an all round quote linked to social development.. i have searched loads of books but can't find one that fits... as we have been told to separate emotional dev, self identity and social.. all the quotes i find seem to link more to self identity or emotional dev...hope this makes sense... AnonyMouse_8466
Whenever I think about children's friendships I think of Judy Dunn. Here's a link to her book on Amazon where you can 'look inside' - hopefully you'll be able to find a suitable quote somewhere - and you can get all the info for your bibliography/references too! Hope it helps! Maz
AnonyMouse_15046
Is this any help? “Being able to play together is a skilled interactional accomplishment involving sensitivity to others’ perspectives as well as negotiation and conflict management skills” (2005, pg99) Littleton and Miell, Childrens Interactions:Siblings and Peers, in Ding and Littleton (2005) Childrens Personal and Social Development.
