Pirate Boat

Hi there,

Just wondered if anyone knows where we can purchase a Pirate Ship for our outdoor area. Ideally would like a multicoloured one. If not do you know of any other great outdoor play equipment companies?

Thanks :o

don't mean to teach grandma to suck eggs but couldn't you invest in milk and bread crates, throw in some decking planks, a few tyres and drainpipes and then not only could it be a pirate ship but would also become whatever else the children wanted it to be. Once a pirate ship, always a pirate ship? and maybe an awful lot of money too- think of those community playthings wooden blocks you could buy (that's if you havent already got them)

I am afraid I have agree with apple.

:(

We are trying to build up a stock of versatile resources that the children can build with and make into whatever they want. We've just got downpipes, guttering and wood planks free from a local builder, rope and fabric from the Scrapstore and tyres from the garage - in fact they were even so keen to give them to us that they delivered them too (apparantly they have to pay to have them taken away). The children are loving them. :( xD

We did have to 'sell' the idea to parents so they didn't think we were just giving their children junk! :o

We are though having trouble getting milk crates. The local dairy is part of a national chain who will not even sell us any. Any ideas of where to get them very much appreciated! :(
