Guest
When would you say a child has achieved this point - i think i am looking to deeply into it e.g. waiting for children to ask their friends for help, for example- holding the sellotape while they cut it. At present the children always ask an adult if they need some help- do you think this is enough to say they are covering this Development matters point. Guest Wolfie
I would definitely accept evidence of a child seeking support/guidance from an adult as evidence for this particular statement.

Guest
Thanks for the replies, it makes makes me feel more confident in my judgement of the D/M, when others have the same opinion. A lot of the statements drive me crazy- they are so woolly.
