Guest
Hi All, I am thinking of undertaking this course in Sept 2009 - I kinow I have read somewhere that settings can claim some monies re allowing staff member off to college study time etc etc - is this in respect of the Foundation Degree Sector Endorsed or does it only apply once you have got your degree and then go on to gain EYPS ? Thanks Dot
AnonyMouse_8466
Your best bet is to talk to your Local Authority about what bursaries are available and what their Graduate Leader Fund covers in your area! Maz

AnonyMouse_15046
Ours doled out some cover money from a budget surplus at the end of the financial year.
Guest
our LA gave my setting a rather good amount of pennies the majority of which was kindly passed onto me for study leave/cover and travel expenses... Uni also gave students a bursary which enabled me to buy a laptop last year and go volunteering in August As others say speak to your LA/ EYA as the amount does vary from LA to LA When doing EYPS money then comes direct from CWDC rather than LA (think that's what my CCAT said last week)
AnonyMouse_705
I'm doing the Foundation Degree through the Open University. In my LEA they pay the course fees, there's a bursary each year (cannot remember how much) plus you can claim £500 study leave each year which is paid to the setting.
