Any help advise would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I can't help I'm afraid, beckz1205. Hopefully someone will come along who understands more than I do about this - whereabouts are you based? Although I've done a Level 3 I don't really understand how yours works!

I did want to welcome you to the Forum though - congratulations on making your first post!

Just wanted to say hi and welcome to the forum :o

Sorry I can't help either as 'tecnical certificate assignments' is a new one on me.

There are lots of people on the forum and between us all we have a huge range of qualifications and many are currently studying so I am sure help will arrive soon.

Perhaps you could give us more detail about the assignment question and maybe we can help a little??

Hi beckz and welcome. Perhaps if you could tell us which bits of the assignment are causing you difficulties we could help out. I'm afraid the number on its own doesn't give us much of a clue. :o

all of it really. here are the assignment questions i have to do:

Your manager has asked you to help plan for the induction of a new member of staff to your child care setting

Produce an induction plan which demonstrates that you know and understand how to provide a safe and healthy and secure environment for children and young people. ensure you include the follwing:

A brief description of the principle pieces of legislation in relation to health and safety (eg control of substances hazardous to health etc)

An explanation of the policies and procedures that must be used in a childcare setting for recording accidents and injuries, arrangements for arrival and departure from the setting, safety and security arrangements for outings and the storage and administration of medication.

how health and safety provision is affected by the stage of a child or young persons development

All that was task A

And the other part I am struggling on is question 3

Produce a written account of the concept and methods of risk assessment in a child care environment. Ensure you have included the following:

The potential risks in a child care environment

Risks assosiated with carrying and lifting children

Why it is important to involved children and young people in assessing and managing risk according to their stage of development.

what methods can be used to involve children and young people in accessing and managing risk..

Again any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This is such a wide area. Have you tried doing a Forum search on some of the key words of the criteria? There have been lots and lots of conversations on here about health and safety, risk etc. Also, what text books do you have? A good Level 3 textbooks will probably give you most of the information you need to base your answer on.

Also, it might be a good idea to look at the EYFS and look at what policies early years setting must have in order to meet the welfare requirerments. That'll give you a good idea of what you need to think about in terms of risk assessment and health and safety considerations.

Can I also ask what the title of your course is, and who your training provider is? I'm interested to know what this course is - I've never heard of Technical Certificate Assignments!

Good luck!
