Guest Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 When it rains we like to going outside with the children to explore the rain/puddles! At the moment I use animal umbrellas that I bought on the internet. But they are not very safe and are falling apart (arms break and spikes of metal stick out). Has anyone got any good, safe, long lasting umbrellas that they would recommend? URGENTLY!!
Guest Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 I think all umbrellas are built to the same safety specification but they are not built to last.
Guest Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 Good point! Can anyone recommend any long lasting childrens umbrellas?
AnonyMouse_79 Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 Have you thought about clothes rather than umbrellas? Cagoules or ponchos might be suitable and look at this
AnonyMouse_2732 Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 We like to go outside in rain with sheets of tin foil, to listen to the sounds. We also vary the materials we are holding up, to see how the sounds vary. Sue
Guest Posted December 21, 2004 Posted December 21, 2004 I like the idea of using waterproof coats instead of umbrellas, it may keep them drier as well! I'm looking into the price.... We will definatly try the tin foil test!!
